Ecosky-3103 is a 100% bio-based, carbon-negative rubber process oil used to improve filler dispersion and processability in rubber compounds; it offers a renewable alternative to petroleum-derived TDAE process oils.

What is Ecosky-3103?

Ecosky-3103 is a process oil made from renewable bio-based feedstocks that acts as a plasticiser (extender oil) and processing aid in rubber compounds. During rubber processing it inserts between polymer chains, lowering compound viscosity, easing the dispersion of fillers (carbon black, silica) and improving processability of the final compound. It is designed to replace conventional TDAE (Treated Distillate Aromatic Extract) oils.

BİO BAZLI ÜRÜNLEREcosky-3103 (Bio-Based Rubber Process Oil)100% bio-based, carbon-negative rubber process oil; TDAE alternative.

What does it do?

  • Lowers compound viscosity, reducing mixing and extrusion energy.
  • Promotes uniform dispersion of fillers such as carbon black and silica.
  • Supports flexibility and low-temperature performance of the cured product.
  • Provides a sustainable alternative to petroleum-derived aromatic process oils.

Why bio-based and carbon-negative?

Ecosky-3103 is made from renewable plant-based feedstocks, so its bio-based content is 100%. Through net carbon capture across its feedstock cycle, the product carries a carbon-negative footprint (around -1771 kg CO₂/tonne). This is the opposite sign to the positive footprint of fossil-based TDAE oils and directly supports tyre and rubber manufacturers' Scope 3 emission targets and sustainability commitments.

Ecosky-3103 can be evaluated as a direct or partial substitute for TDAE in many rubber formulations; because final compound properties vary by application, sample validation and formulation adjustment are recommended before switching.

Where is it used?

  • Tyre compounds and tread/sidewall mixes.
  • Technical rubber parts, seals and profiles.
  • Low-PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon) and sustainability-driven formulations.
When handling process oils, avoid skin and eye contact and use suitable PPE. Refer to the safety data sheet (SDS) for storage and handling.

Can Ecosky-3103 replace TDAE?

It can be evaluated as a direct or partial substitute for TDAE in many formulations. Because final compound properties depend on the application, sample testing and formulation adjustment are recommended before switching.

Why is it called carbon-negative?

Because it is made from renewable plant feedstocks and achieves net carbon capture over its life cycle, giving a negative carbon footprint of about -1771 kg CO₂/tonne.

Which sectors use it?

It is used as a process oil in rubber compounds, primarily in tyre and technical rubber production, especially where sustainability targets and low PAH content are required.
