What is cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) and where is it used?
CAPB (CAS 61789-40-0) is an amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut oil fatty acids. It reduces the harshness of anionic surfactants and improves foam quality and viscosity; it is used as the primary co-surfactant in shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, liquid soap, bubble bath and baby or sensitive-skin cosmetics.
