Extension privacy policy
This policy applies to the KORKİMYA CAS Lens browser extension (Chrome and Microsoft Edge). Last updated: 15 October 2026.
Data we collect
The extension does not collect your name, email, browsing history, location or any other personal data. No account is required. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Network requests
The extension only downloads the public product catalogue from https://korkimya.com/api/extension-catalog. Searching and matching happen on your device; text you type or select is not sent to korkimya.com.
Data stored on your device
A cache of the product catalogue, your quote list, your language preference and your CAS highlighting setting are kept in your browser's local storage. They are removed when you uninstall the extension.
CAS highlighting
This feature is off by default. When you switch it on, the browser asks you for permission to access pages; the extension scans page text on your device only for the CAS number pattern and sends no content anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time.
Quote requests
The "Request a quote" button opens the korkimya.com contact page prefilled with the product names you chose. Submitting the form is entirely your decision; submitted information is handled under the KORKİMYA privacy policy.
Sharing
We do not sell, transfer or share data with third parties. Extension data is not used for anything other than its single purpose.
