What is Distilled Tall Oil DTO Industrial Grade and where is it used?
DTO Industrial Grade (CAS 8002-26-4) is a bio-based, complex mixture obtained by distilling tall oil, a by-product of the pulp and paper industry. It has an acid value of min 165, saponification value of min 170 and rosin acid content of max 40%. It is used in asphalt and bitumen modification, flotation chemical production, adhesive and binder formulations, lubricants and greases, rubber and plastic processing, and surfactant production.
