It is a light yellow liquid containing terpene components such as 53.5% α-pinene, 16.4% β-pinene and 3.7% Δ-3 carene, with a density at 20°C of 0.855-0.870. It is used as a raw material for refined sulphate turpentine, distillation products, resin and chemical synthesis.
